Napoli is deeply influenced by its kings, rulers, intellectuals, and aristocrats. Celeste will bring you to the center of art, music, and power of the city. We will learn about how King Charles of Bourbon made the Neapolitan court one of the grandest and refined in Europe during this tour.

Our tour starts from Caffe’ Gambrinus, the center of Neapolitan culture in the early 20th century. We will learn about its frequent guests, Neapolitan poets who wrote the lyrics for some famous worldly songs.

The next stop is San Carlo Theatre, the oldest functional opera theatre in the world. San Carlo Theatre has hosted world-class artists such as Paganini, Callas, Rubenstein, Nureyev, and Pavarotti. If you would like to experience a “night at the opera”, contact our staff, we may assist you in seat reservation if available, or in arranging private concerts.

After the San Carlo Theatre, we will visit Galleria Umberto to the Palazzo Zevallos. This art gallery is a little artsy gem! In this gallery, we will see Caravaggio and the sculpture of Vincenzo Gemito. Palazzo Zevallos is not as well-known as the Archaeological Museum or the Capodimonte Museum. Still, it is as beautiful as any of them, and you may also avoid the crowds.

At the end of this tour, we will return to Piazza del Plebiscito. Actually, Piazza del Plebiscito is considered as one of the most beautiful squares in Napoli. It is surrounded by the Royal Palace and the columns of San Francesco Church.
Celeste always endeavors to make your travels unique. Upon request, we may also arrange a private tour of San Carlo theatre plus a glamorous photoshoot session. Let us know if you would like to extend, modify or make your tours more exclusive.
