In our Napoli Hills tour, we will bring you to the hills of Napoli: Vomero and Posillipo.
The nécessaire de voyage of the Eighteenth and early Nineteenth century includes a travel desk for sketches, as a traveler must be either a writer or a painter. After all, it was an era without Polaroid or Instagram!

Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries the Naples landscape attracted artists from around the world. Today their influence can be experienced through our tour of the local monasteries and castles along our way.
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the top of the Vomero hill, and the historical bourgeois district, Largo San Martino. Our guide will then bring you to the most fascinating monuments of the city: Certosa di San Martino and Castel Sant’Elmo, on the hill of Vomero.
The Certosa di San Martino is the most beautiful Baroque monastery of Campania, it was founded in 1300 by the king of the Anjou family and then was donated to the Carthusian monks. Besides the splendid interior design of the chapel, the stunning cloisters and gardens provide sweeping views across the Bay of Naples.
After Certosa, our Napoli hills tour will head to the walls of the Castel Sant’Elmo. As it was built upon the highest point of the city, the castle had an important military function. In 1799, during the Jacobin revolution, the revolutionary noblemen barricaded the castle and fought against the troops of the Bourbon Dynasty.
Tour Posillipo, Naples

The following destination in our Napoli hills tour is Vomero Hills, Vomero is the hometown of several Italian politicians, writers and the Oscar-winning Italian film director, Paolo Sorrentino. From Vomero, we will move to Posillipo, where the scenic routes are dedicated to ancient Latin poets. In Posillipo, we will see many grand villas overlooking the sea!
Visit Marechiaro

As part of your Posilipo visit, we will stop in Marechiaro, the old fishing village. In Marechiaro, according to our local famous song, at moonrise, the place becomes so romantic that even fish will make love!
This Napoli hills tour will culminate at Via Manzoni, a vantage point from which we can see the gorge of Pozzuoli, the volcanic islet of Nisida, and San Paolo stadium.
As an option, after the tour, you could go dining in our favorite Michelin restaurant of the city, Palazzo Petrucci.
